Perhaps surprisingly, the Goodyear welt has nothing to do with car tyres – it’s a particular type of shoe construction, in which Loake has specialised for since 1880. All of these shoes feature Goodyear welted construction that provide a high level of comfort, shape retention and added durability. They are also designed to be fully repairable by the people that made them, to help prolong their lifespan, when the time comes.
